Name: Patricia K.
Location/hometown: Wausau, WI
How long have you been running: I ran in USATF events and Badger State (Wisconsin) events since I was 9-years-old. Additionally, I ran varsity track for 4 years at Wausau West High School, although I was always a sprinter (100 meter, 200 meter, and sprint relays). The first long distance race I completed was after college with Hyedi. And the longest race I’ve finished was the Monster Dash (10 mile) in October, 2012.
Why did you decide to run Ragnar? To be with my friends, Hyedi and Angela. We are celebrating Hyedi’s 28th birthday! We are also celebrating a decade of our friendship, since we met at the University of Minnesota as freshmen in Pioneer Hall.
How many Ragnar Relays have you run? Zero.
What are you most looking forward to about Ragnar 2013? I’m looking forward to being a part of a team and working toward a goal. In high school, I ran track and my favorite events were relay races.
Give me one fun random fact about yourself: I love the candy, Swedish Fish.
