Weekend long run + more tri pictures

It was a nice weekend, dog sitting for my friend Liz, checking out a farmer’s market that I’d never been to and hitting up a Twins game.

My 12 mile long run yesterday was broken up into three parts: a 2.3 mile run to the gym, 7.5 miles on the treadmill while I watched the Twins game and beach volleyball, and then another 2.3 miles home. Besides  accidentally hitting the ‘stop’ button on the treadmill after four miles and then having to start up again and my knee bothering me which forced me to walk for awhile, the run went pretty well. I took it slow – ever since the tri I have been having some leg/feet issues – so I wanted to be careful on this run.

With that said — I’m so sore today! I can’t imagine how I’m going to feel after 18 miles, let alone 26.2.

There are less than ten weeks to go until the marathon. I am super busy every weekend now leading up to the marathon so it’s going to get interesting to try and fit in these long runs.

Finally, here are some of the professional photos (that I’m too cheap to purchase) from the triathlon!

LOL. All I have to say.

  1. well done in your tri,and good luck with the 26.2, you can do it

  2. That last picture made me lol! Good luck with your long runs. I’m finding it harder and harder to do anything else during my weekends!

  3. Ugh… I hate when I accidentially hit the stop button on the dreadmill! Nice work on your 12 miler… you’re gonna be more than ready for 26.2!

Love the race pics! Even the last one 🙂

    • Thanks, Erin! Even though I can still figure out my time/distance, it’s just more motivating when the entire workout is being tracked 🙂
