Finished!

I successfully completed day five of my juice cleanse and I’m actually a little sad it’s come to an end. Besides day one, I never felt hungry until dinnertime. I also noticed that in general my tummy is very happy these days and I’ve had more energy overall. It’s hard to tell what is due to me getting over my sickness or what can be attributed to the cleanse. But either way — I’ll take it! The only thing I haven’t had the chance to do is weigh myself to see if I’ve lost any weight.

I started really diving into my study materials this week and holy cow, it’s not going to be easy to get my brain used to taking in all of this new information at one time again. I did, however, get a 10 out of 10 on my first quiz!

After seeing this recipe on Carrots ‘n Cake, I immediately made the gluten free peanut butter sugar cookies. Oh man, these are delicious and I love that it only makes 9-12 cookies at a time!

My good mail day streak continued with the delivery of my new Oiselle distance running shorts! I didn’t own any Oiselle — until now! The more I hear about this company makes me like them more and more.

I wanted these shorts mainly because of the THREE pockets (amazing) and fun color.

Happy Friday! I hope to get some runs in this weekend. What are your weekend running plans?

  1. I saw your instagram last night, and I was excited! I’ll have to make those (or not…I’m trying to STOP eating cookies every day).

  2. Oh- I wish I could get some runs in this weekend. I am hoping to test out my foot next week, though 🙂

  3. Ten miles today as my first ‘long’ run for Paris in April. Starting a bit late thanks to injury, but it’s done! I’m very jealous of the shorts, and indirectly jealous of every woman who has legs that look good in them. Unlike mine. I have to settle for boring capris all the time.

    • Awesome — must feel good to have gotten those ten miles in! It feels like it will be forEVER until I can build back up to 10 — but I’m probably just being dramatic 🙂

  4. I’ve heard good things about Oiselle! Let me know how you like ’em!

Glad to hear the cleanse went well and that you’re feeling better! And, those GF PB cookies… YUM 🙂

    • I LOVE them. I only wore them for a three mile run, but they were very comfortable and didn’t ride up at all. Can’t wait to wear them on a longer run!

  5. Hi! I was wondering which cleanse you did? I’m looking at doing the Cooler Cleanse. I just need a kick start to my diet after training for so many marathon!

    Thanks!

    • I did a 5-day “juice until dinner” cleanse through the Juice Works. (thejuiceworks.net) They’re a local company (Minneapolis). I don’t know anything about the Cooler Cleanse, but it sounds interesting!! Good luck 🙂
