DietBet and current obsessions

In an effort to lose those stubborn five-ish pounds that won’t come off (OK, OK so I haven’t really been trying) I’ve decided to give DietBet a try by joining in the FitFluential March game.

The concept is pretty simple. You pay an entry fee, or “bet” of $25. This money goes towards the overall pot. Starting on Sunday, March 10, you weigh in and take some before photos of yourself. After four weeks you weigh yourself again and if you lost 4%, you win your share of the pot! It also looks like there is a great community component to help keep each other motivated. If anyone wants to join in, use this link 🙂

I think this might be pretty effective – I already know through GymPact, that I’m pretty receptive to financial incentives. Oh, and the pot is already up to over $3,300!

Also, just because it’s fun, I decided to put together a list of my current obsessions. I’m one of those people that are really, really into things and then the excitement kind of wears off. So right now, this is the current list.

Indeed Brewing Co. Day Tripper and Midnight Ryder. — Delicious. Seriously, haven’t been this impressed with beer in a long time.

Shu Uemura oil — this stuff is magic. It controls frizz and static and works well for non-shampoo days. It’s pricey, but it lasts forever!

Picky Bars — I’ve mentioned these before. They are still so delicious and I love the variety of flavors. I’m really glad I signed up for reoccurring shipments.

Blueberry breakfast quinoa — I make a big batch of this on Sunday mornings and bring it to work for breakfast all week.

Oiselle — This company is just amazing and I love all of the clothes I’ve purchased so far! Especially these.

I totally know what you mean — as happy as I am that I discovered Oiselle and that they make really great clothing, I’m also a little sad (for my bank account)!!

I’ve avoided Oiselle for the sake of my bank account, but I’m dying to try! What else do you love beside the shorts?
