Starting a new section of my blog where I plan to house my race recaps, progress on my personal training certification (yup — I’m still working on it!) and it’s called “FAB Fitness.” Because Finding a Balance = FAB — get it? I’m pretty sure it was Kate who pointed that out to me so long ago:) Anyways, now that I’m in the home stretch of half marathon training and will likely be kicking off marathon training soon, I thought it would be a good idea to bring back weekly recaps of my workouts for the past week. Plus, I’m guessing it’ll help hold me accountable since I don’t want my recaps to look like this…
…you get the idea.
So — here we go!
Monday: a FABULOUS 30 minute spin and 30 minute KrankCycle class. Since it was only a 30 minute class, we had to get the most out of it. We did 30 minutes of intervals. Sprints, hill climbs, jumps, turns — you name it.
KrankCycle was also awesome. It’s my favorite and it’s been months since I’ve taken a class. I also found out that Justin Timberlake’s Mirrors is the perfect Kranking song.
Tuesday: A windy run to and from the gym with two miles on the treadmill at Lifetime for what ended up being a 10K! I didn’t plan that, I swear!
Wednesday: 4x800s on the treadmill.
1 mile warm up at 9:50 pace
4x800s @ 7:30 pace (2:00 RI)
.5 mile cool down at 9:40
Total of 4.2 miles in 41 minutes.
Thursday: 1.32 mile walk on the treadmill.
J took the day off from work and we spent the entire day together. We ran some errands, had a delicious sushi lunch, caught up on some TV on our DVR and went to New Richmond for our whiskey tasting evening. It was wonderful!
Saturday: Joe Plant Memorial 5K. Official time: 24:42.
Sunday: Rest. Had planned to do eight miles but an all day hangover thwarted my plans. But at least it was a fun night.
